My Bio
I'm a gamer through and through. I've been gaming ever since I was 4 years old with Sonic way back on the sega genesis. My love for gaming really kicked off when My grandma bought me a Sony Playstation for christmas when I was 7. Yeah that's right my Grandma, while the rest of you were getting socks and uncomfortable wool sweaters I was getting a gaming console ;P. I got into competetive gaming when I was 11 after Diablo 2 came out, my dad got it for me for christmas. I ran around as a paladin stun locking people to death with smite when I was 12 years old. Currently, today you can find me on Xbox live as DNA1 Blacksnake although my XBL account hasn't been paid for so all I play online is DoW 2 on the PC.

I graduated Highschool with honors and went on to college at the art institute of portland doing game art and design. I had to drop out after 2 years because of financial reasons. My skills in drawing and digital modeling signifigantly improved while I was there but they still aren't superb. My area of expertise is writing which is hilarious because I can't spell worth a damn half the time. Most of the stories I write are about one of two universes I've created that I call Armada (Scifi) and Legacy (Fantasy). I originally created Armada when I was in 6th grade. It's suprisingly simmilar to Warhammer 40k which it's ironic WH40k is my favorite scifi lore and I didn't discover it until about 3-4 years ago. Legacy is a culmination of all the different RPG's I've played over the years mixed with my own ideas. My screen name here Hrondir is based on a character from that lore that I created.

If I were to ever create a video game it would be based on one of those universes most likely Legacy. While they are nothing more than just universes I created to write stories about I always think about how they could be turned into a game and what kind of game they would be. Legacy would definately an MMO RPG and I have even put thought into what classes there would be and how to balance them. If I could choose a game developer today to create Legacy it would be Bioware because of the Neverwinter Night and Baulders gate games.

Armada would be a shooter/RPG/RTS. It would first and foremost be a first person shooter but some elements of rpg and rts would be present. Imagine this Dice's, battlefield series in the future (lol 2142 exists) that's what I mean by shooter/rts. In the BF series when you grab say a helicopter and it gets shot down you have to wait for the respawn time to get a new one. In Armada you could either wait out the respawn time or spend a resourse to have one built which would be faster and you'd see how long it would take to respawn. The RPG elements come from your character. The more deathmatches, conquests, ect. you play in the more XP you earn simmilar to the CoD series. As you level up you gain access to better equipment, perks, stats, or ingame call ins. These are all bought with credits you earn based on your performance ingame. The closest game around today that I know of is an MMO called planetside.

The games multiplayer would have 3 factions the Terrans, the Ghosts, and The Zz'gashi. The terrans are a brute force based faction they have more health, more armor, and better vehicles than the other factions they are essentially the Space Marines. The Ghosts are humans that were born on Earth rather than the Terran homeworld of Alterra. They are sneaky and have better technology. What they lack in brute force they make up for in deviousness and tech. The Zz'gashi are an insectoid alien race who are trying to devour and evolve. They're simmilar to the Tyranids or the Zerg. They overwhelm with sheer numbers and fearless savagery.

I think I've put enough of my stories in the about me section. I'll wright more about them in my journal...possibly.

Cheers for the favs!! :ahoy: :D
Yeah NP man I love Warhammer 40k. Not TT per se but the universe. Every faction in WH40k is exceptional on their own but as a whole they all make imo the most interesting and deep sci fi universe I've found. My personal favs story wise is any faction of the imperium especially the heretics. Art wise the Ulthwe craftworld has some of the coolest looking warriors I've ever seen. An Ulthwe warlock or warp spider exarch have to be the most badass I've ever seen.
I really liked your art style on the "hopeless Position" picture, it's very unique and the "expression" of the orc is comical. I'd be really cool to see a Khornate berzerker or an Ulthwe Warlock in similar art style. Hmm maybe both fighting eachother? That gives me an idea.
I used to be a big fan of 2ne ed 40K - I really enjoy Epic these days though as I think it represents the universe better. I know what you mean about the universe being better than the TT - I've got a tonne of Black Library books. Like you I find it so deep; I love the grimdark aspect of it all.

I've never really thought about my pics having a certain art style- especially the Hopeless Position pic as it was one of my first when I was still learning how to use a graphics tablet.

I think one of the main things I should perhaps concentrate on improving is adding character into my pics.
